Reversible Pinafore Dress

Here's the latest knit pinafore dress shown both ways. The hem is straighter than it looks in the photo. It was a bit windy on the day. The brown side isn't quite as well finished as I simply turned up the hem and sewed it that way. I couldn't think of a way to do the hem that was reversible. If anyone has any ideas, let me know. Louisa will no doubt be wearing it her favourite way - with the pink stripes of course. I didn't topstitch the bodice as I did with the green dress. I tried it, but this fabric stretched and looked afwul, so I quickly threw that away and did a new bodice which looks fine without it.

The dresses look great, and it looks like you have quite a little poser there - such a sweet face.

Louisa looks beautiful! Lovely spring dress.

Love the chocolate brown colour and I think the pink "trim" of the hem looks good. If you did want to do it another way, I would probably have turned both up inside, ironed and top done two rows of top stitch. (Not sure if it would have worked though, particularly with the stretch fabric)

What a little model. The dress is gorgeous and so is her hair! Honestly whenever I see pics of her I am so jealous of those gorgeous locks.

Very cute dress. I think heids idea would work (you could put strips of interfacing to stabilise the hemline). Even a double hem would work I think.

Louisa is such a beautiful little girl. I love seeing photos of her.

That dress is great, I want to sew one too for DD. Just need to find the time.
